How to use it

The gap between who you are and who you'd ideally be is one of the most reliable sources of distress studied. Exaggerating closes it in other people's eyes and widens it in yours. For two weeks, write down every exaggeration, find the 1–3 traits they point at, and give each one small daily action that makes it true.

How sure we are

S Evidence: strong. Large trials or many studies, pointing the same way.

P Evidence: promising. Good studies, but small or few. Use it and keep checking.
