No legal boilerplate. This is the actual list of what the system stores, written so you can check it against what you'd expect.
We store your name, email address, the page you were on, the exact sentence you agreed to, and the date and IP it happened from. That last part exists so that if you ever ask "why am I getting these?" there is a real answer rather than a shrug.
We use it to send you what you asked for and occasional emails about the things we make. Nothing else. Your details are never sold, rented, or shared with anyone for marketing.
Your email and name go on the order so you can be sent a receipt and a download link. Card details never touch this system — payment happens on Stripe's own checkout, and what comes back is a confirmation and the last four digits.
Buyers get transactional email — receipts, download links, and notice when a book they own is revised. You cannot unsubscribe from those, because they are the thing you paid for. Marketing email is separate and you can leave it any time.
We keep your email, your first name and your birth month and year, plus what you put in it: the frameworks you save, the days you tick off a plan and the line you write with them, and, only if you're 18 or over and choose to, a handle, a short bio, your arenas and a photo. Your birth month is used for two things only: checking you're 13 or older, and keeping public pages and photos for over-18s. It is never shown. Profiles are for people who are 13 or older; if someone younger tries, nothing they typed is kept.
There is no password. You sign in with a one-time link we email you; we store only a scrambled fingerprint of it, never the link itself. If you add a passkey (Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello, your phone or a security key), we store only its public key, the name of the device and when it was last used. Your face or fingerprint never leaves your device and never reaches us; the device only proves it's you. Your public page is off unless you switch it on, and a photo only appears on it once Ole has seen it. Delete your profile any time under Profile in your profile page: everything above goes at once. Your orders stay, because they are the shop's records.
We keep your email, your first name if you gave it, which book, and when, to send you the book and to keep it to one copy per person. If you ticked the box, you get one email two weeks later asking what the book changed, and never another. It is not a mailing list, and you are not added to one.
We keep what you sent: the name you want shown, your email (never shown), your age bracket, the numbers, the dates, your words and your screenshots. Screenshots are private, seen only by Ole to check the number, unless you are 18 or over and chose to show them. Nothing is published until you approve the exact words from the email you get, and the same link takes it down whenever you want. If a result is rejected, its screenshots are deleted. Under 18, only your first name and initial are ever shown. Videos: if you're 18 or over you can add a video of you telling it. A YouTube or Vimeo video only loads from YouTube or Vimeo when someone presses play (YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode); Instagram and TikTok videos open on their own sites. Under 18, a video is never shown.
The Ask button answers from this website's own pages. It is not a person and not an AI. We keep the question you typed and which page it pointed to for 90 days, with no name, email or IP address, so we can see what the site doesn't answer yet. Don't type anything private into it.
We store your answers, your name and email, and a private link that lets you come back to it. If you book a call, the time you picked. Your answers are read before we speak, so you never explain anything twice — and they are never shown to anyone else.
We store what you typed — name, email, handle, link, skills, arenas and your own words — plus the sentence you agreed to, the date, and the IP it came from. If you work on tasks, we also keep how many you finished and how many on time: that's what your level is made of, and nothing else is. We email you when a task opens. Ask and the profile is deleted.
Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click, no login, no "are you sure". It works on a token unique to you, so nobody else can use your link and you can't accidentally remove somebody else.
Commented on or messaged one of our Instagram or Facebook accounts? Here is what we keep from that and how to delete it. Want everything deleted rather than just unsubscribed? Email [email protected] and it's done. You're entitled to that, and you don't have to give a reason.
No advertising trackers. No Facebook pixel. No third-party analytics.
Your cart is kept in your own browser (local storage), as a list of the books in it and nothing else. It never leaves your device until you press Check out, and it empties itself once you've paid.
Until recently, signup forms posted directly to a third-party email platform. They don't any more. Everything now lands in our own database, which means one fewer company holds your details.
