Lymphatic drainage in a healthy body: keep it if it calms you and starts your day well. Don't expect it to "detox", slim the face or replace sleep, water and training. Grade every morning habit like this: what it does, what it's claimed to do.
P Evidence: promising. Good studies, but small or few. Use it and keep checking.
C Evidence: contested. The research disagrees. Named, so you can stop worrying about it.
In 66 healthy adults, 45 minutes of lymphatic drainage lowered spinal reflex excitability (a relaxation effect) but didn't change heart-rate variability (Honguten et al. 2021, RCT, 🟡) · it didn't even prevent swelling after breast-cancer surgery over 5 years (Devoogdt et al. 2018, RCT) · detox and face-slimming claims graded 🔴.
