Expect calibration, not a rocket: the average effect of mentoring is small. Pick someone similar but ahead, meet monthly with one decision and one debrief, and build your own system alongside, because the confidence boost faded when mentoring stopped.

P Evidence: promising. Good studies, but small or few. Use it and keep checking.
