Framework 136 · in one look
How to use it

Skills (planche, levers, handstand) improve with frequency: practise them 3–5 days a week with modest hard sets. Muscle grows with more weekly sets, added gradually, with diminishing returns. Count indirect work as half a set.

How sure we are

S Evidence: strong. Large trials or many studies, pointing the same way.

P Evidence: promising. Good studies, but small or few. Use it and keep checking.

Sources

Bayesian meta-regression of 67 studies (2024–25). Strength gains level off at low weekly volumes · Nicky Lyan's version: train skills every day but keep effort under about 75%, go to ~85% only before competitions and 100% only in them (🟠).
